    Qualifying for Professional Events

    All contestants must be registered as athletes with the computer service of the International Federation of Bodybuilders (IFBB).


    In order for a U.S. athlete to be eligible for IFBB Professional Status, the athlete must have obtained one of the following placements in an NPC or amateur IFBB event:

    Bodybuilding

  • As the Overall winner at Team Universe.
  • As the Overall winner (open and masters) IFBB North American.
  • As the Overall 35+(women), 40+(men), 50+(men), 60+(men) winner in Masters National Championship.
  • As the Overall winner(men/women), and 2nd place overall(men) at the USA Championship.
  • Weight class winner at the National Championship
  • Weight class winner at the IFBB Amateur World Championship.

    Fitness

  • Among the first 2 in her height class in the National or Team Universe Championships.
  • Height class winner at the IFBB Amateur World Championship.

    Figure
  • Overall winner at the Jr. USA Championship.
  • Class winners at the Jr. National Championship, USA Championship.
  • Class winners at the USA Championship.
  • Overall winner and 2nd place overall at IFBB North American Championship.
  • Overall winner of the 35+ at Masters National Championship.
  • Overall winner of the 35+ at IFBB North American Championship.
  • Top two in each class at the National Figure Championship.
  • Height class winner at the IFBB Amateur World Championship.
